Scottish History Tours

See our Historic Scotland - tour Stirling Castle, Edinburgh Castle and all the palaces, abbeys and ancient places.

A Scottish History Tour is fascinating with 5000 year old houses with cupboards, beds and hearths, huge stone rings erected some 4500 years ago. Cairns built 2500 years ago. A 4000 plus year old tomb at Maeshowe in Orkney with 1200 years old Viking graffitti.

See where Mary Queen of Scots was born in Linlithgow Palace and moved to Stirling Castle for safe keeping.

Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, Cawdor Castle, Castle Urquhart on Loch Ness, Eilan Donan.

Roman Walls and forts, ancestral homes like Blair Castle, Scone Palace, Floors Castle and historic sites like Culloden Battlefield.

Just feel the atmosphere of this ancient land where by the Declaration of Arbroath (6th April 1320), Scotland was the first nation to suggest that a King could only reign with the consent of the people.

"Yet if King Robert the Bruce should......agree to make us or our kingdom subject to the King of England........we should .... drive him out as our enemy and subverter of his own rights and ours, ...... It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
